Oleg Magdych and his wife Oksana have been on the Frontlines of Faith for their entire adult lives. As a pastor, Oleg risked everything to stand up to the Russian Regime during the 2nd Maidan Revolution, leading the Prayer Initiative that included millions. He stood arm in arm with faith leaders from across Ukraine and faced down snipers as they prayed together for freedom. From an exposed platform on Independence Square, new hope and a new future was born. It also set off a series of confrontations that led to the current Russian invasion.
Having already survived two mortar explosions in the current war, Oleg and a volunteer team now dedicate themselves to risky evacuations of wounded soldiers all along the line of conflict. Meanwhile, Oksana continues to minister to thousands of internally displaced people, sheltering and providing for them in a nation-wide network of Christian campgrounds.
Today, Bram and Oleg wrap up this moving conversation. We hope you’ll continue to pray daily for the Faithful in Ukraine as they literally are the hands and feet and heart of Jesus to the fearful, the lonely, the grieving and the traumatized. You can help Oleg’s team in their work rescuing wounded soldiers and civilians through your gift to Compassion Radio, today.
