Oles Dmytrenko has lived through a lot. As a child of the last generation of Soviet Rule, once the Iron Curtain collapsed, he discovered freedoms he couldn’t have imagined. Years later the Light of the Gospel shattered his preconceptions once again. He was a new man, made over twice in one lifetime.
Oles was my personal guide for a very personal and powerful tour of the ‘Maidan’ in Kyiv, Ukraine. This two mile stretch of expansive boulevards, massive tree-lined plazas and Imperial era architecture is the spiritual heart of the nation, and the literal Seat of Power. And in 2014 the power of a corrupt regime came face-to-face with the Power of the Kingdom of God.
Today, the conflict continues, with new threats from Moscow. No one in Ukraine wants a war. The Church is praying fervently against it. How are they holding up under the continued pressure and threats? Well, Oleg is there to bring us up to speed and give us a behind the scenes look at the conflict.

We’ll also hear from another frontline Kingdom reporter, Maryna Yarmalenko, the Head of the Worship Training Program at Ukraine Evangelical Theological Seminary. This school is actively training the next generation of Christian leaders for service across Asia. And they take seriously the call of Worship Leaders to lead in real spiritual warfare…
