At a time when fear of AIDS ran rampant, destitute, desperate mothers in South Africa were abandoning their babies by the hundreds. Why? They couldn’t care for them, and they feared the babies were infected with HIV. In the twisted logic of Desperation, abandonment seemed the most merciful thing to do. Thanks to friends like you, Compassion Radio helped to rescue hundreds of these kids who are now thriving and living world-changing lives.
