CR360: “Dignity in a Backpack”

Play

Bram & Sandi continue a special Friday series focused on world events and the ‘Kingdom Response’. Through scripture, word and song, we’ll put a whole new spin on what’s happening in the world, right now.

Today: Rob Scheer knew what it was like to feel ashamed of being a foster kid. So he set out to make things better for kids just like himself. In fact, he adopted a handful of his own. But something really aggravated him about the process. It was frankly triggering for him to see his kids suffer the same indignities he experienced decades earlier. He couldn’t adopt every kid. But he could make the whole experience of being fostered a whole lot less demeaning and scary. His solution was practical and surprisingly meaningful. And it has impacted the lives of over 250 thousand foster kids… so far.

Bram and Sandi will ‘unpack’ the story, today…
