What ‘Good’ Can We Find in a Day Like This?

The sun may have risen on ‘Good Friday’ but you’d never know it by the accounts of the Gospel writers. The Jewish day begins with night, and It was the longest night of their lives. What we do know is that by mid-afternoon, whatever light remained was swallowed up by an otherwordly darkness. So what can possibly be ‘good’ about the day the Son of God was literally obliterated physically, emotionally, spiritually? It’s a truly hard question.
