RACE TO THE CURE, pt. 3

Play

Aaron and Stacey Jackson are not just living the American Dream – they’re building it. It’s the quintessential bootstrap story of rising above the challenges of the past and making something of yourself. There are just a couple of wrinkles in the narrative. For one, they committed early on to build their lives, home and family on the foundation of Jesus Christ, and Him alone. The second thing is that for all their honest striving and accomplishments, they absolutely cannot shake off one burden: They were born black in a white world. How they prepared their sons for manhood in dangerous times is one major focus of the story, and godly parenting is at the heart of it. As committed, worshiping and tithing Evangelicals, how they live out their faith in an increasingly segregated society is the other.

Bram and Sandi dive deep into the Jacksons’ story in this special series. We’ll get some useful answers and a whole lot of important new questions. If the Church is going to have any relevance and moral authority in the years to come, these questions will need to be answered.
