AFGHANISTAN:
Compassion Radio has shipped educational resources to rebuild schools destroyed by the Taliban, supported “Helping Hands” vocational training center for war orphans and widows in Kabul, and conducted “Advent in Afghanistan,” a project which brought the message of Christmas and the first ever Christmas gifts to 30,000 students in northern Afghanistan along with educational and medical aid. After Norm and Cher Nelson taught English in a northern university, we have maintained an ongoing relationship and communication with several university students.
